The Faculty of Civil Engineering, in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, organized workshops for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students called “Construction, robotics and computing are also women’s jobs” in two Zagreb primary schools – Alojzije Stepinac Elementary School in Vrbani (May 12th<\/sup> 2021) and Borovje Primary School (May 17th<\/sup> 2021). The workshops were organized as part of the implementation of horizontal measures on the ASAP project.<\/p>\n

During the workshop, students had hands-on and thematic engineering excersises such as creating a 3D model of a bridge with a drone, discovering hidden objects by georadar and determining the load on the bridge by measuring deformations.<\/p>\n

A TV report on project workshops was filmed by the Croatian National Television (HRT) which was broadcasted in the Zagreba\u010dka panorama daily show, and in the Central news on May 12th<\/sup> 2021.<\/p>\n

The following activities will be to hold project workshops in smaller and rural areas of Sisak-Moslavina and Lika-Senj counties, in cooperation with project partners from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture.<\/p>\n
